2 What is a world view? A world view is a concept/opinion generalized for a whole group/audience This is mainly observed by religion, country, race or prejudices Example: A generalization of Canada from the perspective of America

3 Nature of the universe The nature about the universe is to question about how it all began Some religions believe there is a creator who started the world and who guides the universe on a daily basis. Those religions who believe the universe has a creator, the centre of sacredness is the creator, not the universe.

5 Sacred Reality Sacred reality is explaining broad ideas in religion
Some religions speak of the sacred as being supernatural and abstract that exists in a whole different universe, outside of the human world. Some other religions believe that sacred reality exists in human beings and the environment. Everyone’s different views and opinions on the sacred shape peoples understanding of God’s as being personal or distant.

6 Time Time is about how religions perceive time in their beliefs
Some religions see time as linear, beginning with creation and moving forward, These religions are Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Although in the religion Buddhism time is seen as cyclical. This means the universe moves through repetitive changes.

7 Sacred Texts Sacred texts are about the uses of written text in religious societies Many religions use the written and spoken word for the sacred text. The written word is important in Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. The written word is not important in Buddhism as silence is considered of more importance.

8 Humanity This is about how humans connect to their Religious beliefs
Judaism, Christianity and Islam religions believe we are all part of creation. Where we struggle between good and evil. Humans are guided by moral code of behavior. Other religions follow tradition in a sense of obligation.

9 Multi-dimensional Approach
A multi-dimensional approach is: Where you look at a Religion from more then one perspective This includes from different viewpoints such as: Religion, Science, Ethical, Philosophical, etc.

10 The Arts Art is about how it can communicate religion and be relevant
Religions communicate their message through their rights, poetry, architecture, music, paintings and sculptures. The Arts engage our feelings and allow us to reflect on the ideas and values that make up the tradition and history of religion. ‘Art’

11 Anthropology Anthropology the interactions of people and the relevance to religion Also studies the way people interact within their religion Also studies how religion influences the people and how they influence the religion.

12 Philosophy Philosophy examines the truth behind the claims of the existence of God, morality, evil and the afterlife. These studies are based on reason rather than faith.

13 Theology Theology is a generalist view of a concept
Theology is the study of a religion and mankind’s relationship with god. Theology had been taught in monasteries of Europe before universities were founded. When universities were founded in the 13th century theology was a part of the academic program. Therefore, Theology provides you with a worldwide view of a particular religion.

14 Archeology Archeology is the study of early civilization where religious artifacts and ruins are uncovered. Many world religions have been influenced by the discovery of ancient texts, beliefs and practices.
