2 CASAS E-Test We will begin the orientation with the CASAS test.
Give your best effort. The score on this test will determine if you can enroll in the DAS Business Program Scores must be 236 or greater to enroll. 11/15/2018

Less than 236 May attend another CTE Orientation May attend the New Computer Lit class for English Learners beginning 7/23 May attend an ABE/ASE Orientation next quarter and enroll in Basic Skills course to help you test into CTE class 11/15/2018

12 What we expect from YOU…
Attendance Allowed 6 absences during a quarter (3 month period) As a courtesy, call teacher but does not excuse your absence. When working you will need to report your absence. Only 5 partials will count as 1 of the 6 allowed absences Arriving Late for Class (after 8:05) Leaving Early from class (10 min before class ends) More than 1 hour late will count as absence Once 6 absences are accumulated, will be dropped from the program. No exceptions. 11/15/2018

13 What we expect from YOU…
DAS Student Contract Attend school regularly, be on time and prepared to learn. Dress and act appropriately. Value yourself, classmates, DAS staff, and DAS property equally. No food/drinks in classrooms. Minimize distractions. If contract expectations are not met, you will be dropped from Delano Adult School. 11/15/2018

15 Program Fees $25 program fee payable at the time of registration
(If student is dropped during the quarter must participate in a new orientation and pay the $25 class fee again) Course Books are students responsibility Purchased at time of enrollment into those courses which require books available for purchase in the DAS office 11/15/2018

DAS now has articulated Intro to Computer Literacy (Keyboarding/word/excel) Earn 6 BC credits at DAS by completing this class with a A/B grade Cost through BC will be $350-$400 Register as a BC student / Register in CATEMA 11/15/2018

Prerequisite: Introduction to Computer Literacy Course Help you prepare a Work Portfolio: Resume  Resignation Letter Specific Resume Letter of Recommendation Reference List Application Cover Letter Post Interview Letter Prepare you for an interview with the school personnel to be considered for the internship. 3 week Internship with a local employer: DJUHSD, BofA, SVOS, KOMOTO *Textbook is available at the office for $30.00 11/15/2018
