Culture Italian culture is full of art architecture and music. Italy is also the home of Rome with many famous monuments and famous cities.

Pasta A big part of Italian culture is the food. 2 popular Italian foods are Pasta and Pizza. There are many different types of pasta like Ravioli, Tortilini, Spaghetti, Penne, Lasanga and Gnocci.

Pizza An often recounted story holds that in 1889, to honour the Queen consort of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, a Neapolitan pizzamaker Raffaele Esposito created the "Pizza Margherita", a pizza garnished with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, to represent the national colours of Italy as on the Italian flag.

Description Italy is 301,338 square km and the population is 59.83million Italy, commanding a long Mediterranean coastline, has left a powerful mark on Western culture and cuisine. Its capital, Rome, is home to the Vatican as well as landmark art and ancient ruins. Other major cities include Florence, with Renaissance treasures such as Michelangelo’s "David" and its leather and paper artisans; Venice, the sinking city of canals; and Milan, Italy’s fashion capital. The climate in Italy is cool and rainy in winter and hot and dry summers. Winter temperatures near the coast very rarely drop to freezing in winter. Summer temperatures often reach 32 degrees Celsius.

Europe Italy is a country in the continent of Europe. Italy is a country at the bottom of Europe. A hint to finding Italy is that Italy is the shape of a boot. If you look carefully at the picture in the bottom right corner the hilighted country is Italy, see how it looks like a boot. Europe is the second biggest content to Asia.

The Leaning Tower Of Pisa:
The leaning tower of Pisa or simply is the campanile or the freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa, known world wide for its unintended tilt to one side.

Venice: Venice, capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a marshy lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. Its stone palaces seemingly rise out of the water. There are no cars or roadways, just canals and boats. The Grand Canal snakes through the city, which is filled with innumerable narrow, mazelike alleys and small squares.

The Colosseum The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Built of concrete and stone, it is the largest amphitheatre ever built and is considered one of the greatest works of architecture and engineering.

Rome: Rome, Italy’s capital, is a sprawling, cosmopolitan city with nearly 3,000 years of globally influential art, architecture and culture on display. Ancient ruins such as the Roman Forum and the Colosseum evoke the power of the former Roman Empire. Vatican City, headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, boasts St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, which house masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescoes.

Pompeii Pompeii is a vast archaeological site in southern Italy’s Campania region. Once a thriving and sophisticated Roman city, Pompeii was buried in meters of ash and pumice after the catastrophic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 C.E. Near the coast of the Bay of Naples, the site features excavated ruins that visitors can freely explore.

Naples Naples, a big city in southern Italy, sits on the Bay of Naples near Mt. Vesuvius. Dating to the 2nd millennium B.C.E., it has centuries of important art and architecture. Its landmarks include Naples Cathedral, whose Chapel of San Gennaro is filled with frescoes and statues, and the lavish Royal Palace. Naples is also renowned for its distinctive style of thin-crust pizza.

Animals Donkeys still help farmers in remote villages to carry heavy loads over steep terrain.Some years ago there was a big scare in Italy about brown bear, which attacked farm animals in Northern Italy. Brown bears are protected in Italy, as there are only few bears left in the wild now.In the Alps you will very likely see the marmots, which make a very high pitched calling sound. And if you are very lucky you might even spot a lynx.

Italian Football Italy's most popular sport is football. Italy has some great players such as Mario Baloteli and Andrea Pirlo. In 1934, 1938, 1982 and 2006 Italy won the World Cup. They we're founded in 1898 and their current manager is Antonio Conte. Andrea Pirlo Balotelli's current team is Liverpool and Pirlo's current team is Juventus Mario Balotelli

Western civilization as we know today is based on many Ancient Roman principles. 5 Italy has many earthquakes and volcanoes due to the conflict between the Eurasian and the African tectonic plates. The volcanoes Etna and Vesuvius are a constant danger to humans due to their closeness to big cities.
