1. March in AIS Almaty International School Dear Readers,
        Last week, AIS was having a lot of fun activities and events. The most interesting events were Middle School Dance Party and “The Wizard of Oz” musical was on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25.    Before the musical, there was MS dance party. However, there were a few more exciting events: Lockdown drill, Oscar’s hat mystery, Russian competition, and other. But I think the most interesting event was “The Wizard of Oz.” People can't see it now! There will be no more shows!
       Lockdown Drill is an important  drill to protect us from bad people. We lock the windows, doors, and we turn the light off. So nobody comes in. I think this was a good experience for you, guys.
       For the MS dance party, after the school, we just ate or danced or played games. And people from the Drama class performed "The Wizard of Oz." There was a break time after one hour. So people didn’t get tired. At last, Russian competition happened. Students from Tien Shan,and other schools competed. There is an interview with a person who went to compete. Most words the person said were, “I don’t know.”
      AIS had lots of fun this week. I guess people enjoyed it too. It was a  good experience again.

2. March in AIS Almaty International School Introduction:
    I interviewed a student from our school, Yoonsung. He went to Russian Speaking competition. He got the highest score in our school.
Q1 Why did you attend the contest?
My mom said to do it.

There were about 55 students.
Q3 How many questions were there in the contest?
There were about 35

It took me about 45 minutes to finish.

It took place at Haileybury School.

There were KIS, Haileybury, Tien Shan, and AIS.

About 15 students went there.

    I interviewed Yoonsung, I hope you got some idea what Russian competition is about and enjoy it.

The lockdown drill happened for the first time in our school on Wednesday, 22nd of February. It is an event to prevent terrorist or people that are dangerous from entering your building. In a lockdown drill this is what you should do: First, after you heard the announcement, the person that  has the key from the room closes it.
Then the people next to the windows close them. If there are curtains they have to close them, too.
After that, wait quietly in the room until the second announcement is given. Then you can “unlock” the room.
In conclusion, I think it is important to do this drill once a year so that people know how to behave in case of danger.
