Example: listening to two conversations Brain jumps back and forth and can’t get full story on either one

When listening to music or watching TV Brain can’t focus Make fewer mistakes and get done sooner

Same time and place every night

7 Study Position Argue best position Anywhere you feel mentally alert
Should not be somewhere you find yourself changing positions Daydreaming becoming sleepy Most do study at a desk Helps concentrate, remain alert, most effective use of time

Reduce fatigue Permit your brain to recharge Necessary, but not an excuse for not studying Actually get away Get snack and beverage

9 Study Breaks Formula 30-45 minutes of work + 10 minute break
Make it work for you If becoming tired-shorten study time Use alarm clock or timer with both study time and break time
