wicps.org Join our training to become a Certified Peer Specialist A certified peer specialist is someone who has lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorder, and has formal training to support recovery. An active participant on the consumer’s treatment and recovery team. A paid professional who uses their experience and training to support recovery. You must complete an application and pass an interview to be selected for training. Only the first 50 applications will be considered. Applications will only be accepted from the following counties: Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Iowa, Lafayette, La Crosse, Jackson, Juneau, Richland, Monroe, Sauk, Vernon, Trempealeau Wednesday, July 25th Thursday, July 26th Friday, July 27th Tuesday, July 31st Wednesday, August 1st Thursday, August 2nd Friday, August 3rd 9am-5pm To request an application, or for more information, contact ILR at: or Applications must be received by Friday, June 8th, 2018. You must successfully complete the state-approved Peer Specialist training and pass the certification exam to be a certified peer specialist.
