We have made significant progress in spite of the tough financial situation
In terms of our positioning within the Community College system, there are no other schools who are further along in implementing the identified technology
A significant portion of the implementation effort is complete, what remains are the tasks associated with training, documenting and advertising

Designed to be the starting point for students to access resources (Moodle, WebAdvisor, Announcements)
Opportunity for better communication with constituents
One place with many “doors”, “portals” by which users operate in a consistent environment
Eliminates the need for multiple logins
Developed with adaptive design technology (Optimized for smart phones, tablets, and PC’s)
Eventual replacement for WebAdvisor

Functionality that allows for the display to be tailored to the type of device (Tablet, smartphone, etc.), that a user is using to access the Portal.
It has a significant impact of the layout of the page. Eliminated top and left side navigation to save room.
Portal will present information from the top, and then from the left columns to the right column. .

Designed to provide additional capabilities and a “richer” user interface
Requires involvement from Academics, Business Office, Financial Aid and Technology Department

Bring the television station resources in-line with our mission and goals
Continue to look for opportunities to develop video for College needs – (Marketing, instructional)
Seek opportunities to market the BRCC-TV station as part of our overall marketing plan for the College
Discontinue or make low priority the development of original programs that are run just on the TV station
Depend upon available public broadcasting materials
Prioritize and reallocate resources to mission goals

Multiple DVR Systems a. Must be maintained b. Spread out across the campus c. Not monitored or protected
Users have to memorize multiple IP addresses, usernames and passwords
No global view of camera activity
No access from mobile devices
Some cameras are outdated and the images are not clear
Are not integrated with the alert system. Integration would allow notifiers a view of the area before responding to F9/F11 trigger
