2 WHO IS MY ADVISOR? WHO IS MY ADVISOR? Open Firefox browser.
Log into Griffinnet. From the vertical menu at the left, select “Letter Grades” and then anything from the drop-down menu. Advisor is listed to the right under your name/address. Although your advisor should be reaching out to you, please contact him/her if you haven’t heard anything by Oct 22nd.

3 Create a list of courses
General Education Requirements- Everyone needs GERs. Undecided students will focus their course selections from here. Excel Planner/Degree Audit - List of courses for the major. What have you completed? What are you completing? What remains to complete? Online University Catalog- Contains academic programs and course descriptions, as well as academic policies & procedures. Create a list of courses

Days & times of courses Course Offering Helpful Tips *Used to search all courses offered in a semester at any time. *Shows days, times, availability, room locations, instructors, and course descriptions of courses offered for the semester. *Filters allow search by days and/or departments. *Access through GriffinNet *Course Offering Search Instructions *Be sure to enter the correct term as SP19. *Disable your pop-up blocker! *Use Firefox as your web browser. *Write down section numbers (designated days/times) for all tentative courses PRIOR to meeting with your academic advisor! *Interpret Course Section Numbers

5 CHECKLIST APPOINTMENT Arrive on time! Bring list of
tentative courses for Spring 2019. (including days, times, & sections!!). Be able to explain your choices. Discuss current academic performance. Confirm/discuss current major or options. Ask questions. Be sure you are cleared for registration! CHECKLIST

7 Step by Step Registration Instructions
How do I register? Step by Step Registration Instructions What if you have a hold? MEET WITH YOUR ADVISOR ANYWAY!!  This is important, because getting your schedule plans in place will enable you to register just as soon as your hold is lifted (instead of scheduling a last-minute meeting, or worse – trying to do so when someone may not be readily available when the semester ends and classes are filling).
