1 Creating a graph on Excel

2 Identify the data you need to graph.

3 Open a blank workbook in Excel on your computer.

4 Add the headers from the table.
City names The information that will be shown

5 Enter the data (this is not the real data).
Tip: Do not include any letters in the data cells. The program deals with numbers and will not know what you mean if you include letters.

6 Highlight the block of cells that you have entered data into.

7 Click Insert, then select the type graph you require.

8 The graph will be created on this page.

9 Select the graph and copy it. Paste it into a new Word document.

10 You’re done!
