2. What?
- Banner Student will be upgraded from Banner 8 to Banner 9 in 2018.
- Banner 9 will provide a more modern, and user-friendly, experience. Changes are generally cosmetic in nature and all Banner functionality will remain intact.
The Banner Student Administrative System will be upgraded from Banner 8 to Banner 9 in UNH IT has been preparing for this upgrade for well over a year, and Banner user testing is currently underway. The production implementation timeframe is still being determined, but will likely begin in the late spring/early summer and be completed by October 2018.

3. Why?
- Vendor support for the current version of Banner (Banner 8) terminates at the end of 2018, making the move to Banner 9 a necessity.

All Banner Student Users across all 3 UNH campuses as well as Granite State College.
Durham, Manchester, Law, GSC

Shorter learning curve for occasional users

All custom and baseline modified forms have been delivered.
User testing
transformed forms are currently being tested by each office.
User familiarization
All Banner Student users are encouraged to log in to the new Banner 9 interface to become familiar with new layout and navigation
