Nutrition: The science of food and how the body uses the foods taken in.
Nutrients: The chemical substances in food that help build and maintain the body.
Undernourished: Not eating enough food to keep a healthful body weight and activity level.
Malnutrition: Lack of proper nutrients in the diet.

Food Guide Pyramid: A diagrammatic representation of recommended portions of the five basic food groups, plus fats and oils
