ACTIVATOR 9/15/16 Day E Take out packet and notebook. Take out homework. Answer activator in your notebook.

3 Objective: I will be able to:
connect models of fraction division to the corresponding expression and word problem divide fractions by mixed numbers using an equation to find the quotient. I will show I know it when I can successfully complete the sorting activity and the matching game with my partners. 6.NS.1

4 Language Objective Academic “math language” vocabulary:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use all four language domains of listening, speaking , reading and writing academic math language to solve the assigned problems. They will show they understand by using the language vocabulary associated with the problem. Academic “math language” vocabulary: Quotient, mixed fraction, equation, multiplicative inverse, denominator, numerator, improper fraction.

5 Sorting activity Students work in table partners to complete the sorting activity. After finishing matching the pictures with the expressions, you will match the word problem with the diagrams and expressions you already matched.
