3. Why do we need different systems?
Humans are very complex
We need systems to do different jobs to keep us alive

4. What is the main goal of all the systems?
Respiration
Oxygen + glucose (sugar) carbon dioxide + water + energy
Every cell needs oxygen and glucose delivered to it so it can make ENERGY in the mitochondria.
Every cell needs to get rid of carbon dioxide.

5. Circulatory system
Circulatory system contains blood
Job is to deliver oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide
Oxygen + glucose (sugar) carbon dioxide + water + energy

6. Digestive system
Gets glucose from food and gives it to the circulatory system to deliver to cells
Oxygen + glucose (sugar) carbon dioxide + water + energy

7. Respiratory system
Gets the oxygen from the air and gives it to the circulatory system to deliver to cells
Circulatory system collects carbon dioxide from cells. Gives it to respiratory system to get rid of from the body
Oxygen + glucose (sugar) carbon dioxide + water + energy

8. Excretory system
Gets rid of excess water and waste
Oxygen + glucose (sugar) carbon dioxide + water + energy
