When you find your tournament, there will be a link in the right column called “Pre-register”. Clink on the link to open the following page, then click on “Register Now”: Follow the steps to enter your address and create a password for this registration; click “continue”. 7 Registration (cont’d.)
Enter the information for your wrestler. If you have a TrackWrestling.com profile (it’s free), this will auto-populate once you enter your TrackWrestling ID. If you don’t have a TrackWrestling profile, you just need to enter your USAW ID (located on your wrestler’s card)

8 Weigh-Ins Your wrestler must make weight wearing a singlet.
Skin check (for ringworm and other skin disorders) Nail check – trim your wrestlers fingernails prior to weigh-ins Most tournaments will not allow wrestlers to bump up a weight class if they do not make weight. Make sure you select the correct weight class during registration. Weight allowance granted on Jan. 1st The tournament flyer will give the weigh-in location and times

9 Tournament Day Some tournaments stagger the start times by division, some start all at the same time. The tournament flyer will give that information. Gate Fees: Most tournaments charge a small admission fee for spectators. Coaches (with a valid coaches card) are normally admitted for free. Headgear and wrestling shoes are mandatory

10 Brackets/Bout Numbers
Most tournaments will post brackets on a wall outside of the gym. You can also follow along on TrackWrestling.com, which will have live bracket updates throughout the day. Parents and wrestlers are responsible for making sure the wrestler is at the correct mat when it’s time for him or her to wrestle. Please make sure you are following your bout numbers on your bracket. The most frustrating aspect of the tournaments is when matches are delayed because wrestlers are not ready when it’s their time.

12 Rules/Etiquette Only coaches are allowed on the mats during matches
Give the refs a break – it’s a hard job If you have an issue with a referee, please let a coach know and let the coach handle the discussion Be on time for your wrestler’s matches It’s best to be prepared several matches prior to your wrestler’s match. Best Trained coaches will be in the gym and around the mats helping wherever needed. Have your wrestler locate a coach 1 or 2 matches prior to the start of his match.
