-Paul Eluard I’m not catching an elephant cold! People thought Eluard was nuts.  Inspired by Andre Breton’s Surrealist Manifesto to create works without actually THINKING about what they were writing/creating.

12 Incongruous Juxtaposition
A characteristic of surrealism is the incongruous (unsuitable/ incompatible) juxtaposition (set next to each other for comparison) of two objects. Again, this causes the audience to rethink the reality the artist/author sets before them. Salvador Dali Lobster with Telephone
