Geography – Biomes and Climate Zones – Understanding different Areas of the World. Place Knowledge - understand geographical similarities and differences through the study of human and physical geography of a region of the United Kingdom, a region in a European country, and a region within North or South America. Human and Physical Geography – describe and understand key aspects of: - physical geography, including: climate zones, biomes, and vegetation belts, volcanoes and earthquakes and the water cycle. - human geography, including: types of settlement and land use, economic activity, including trade links and the distribution of natural resources including energy, food, minerals and water. Geographical Skills and Fieldwork – use maps, atlases, globes and digital mapping to locate countries and describe features studied Physical Education Following P.E scheme of work To play competitive games and apply basic principles suitable for attacking and defending Science – Living Things and their Habitats TASC – To create an insect hotel To describe the differences in life cycles of a mammal, amphibian, insect and a bird. To describe the life process of reproduction in some plants and animals. Additional information Focus on different habitats around the world. Pupils are to understand the life cycle and evelution. Art – Kandinsky Pupils are to develop their techniques, including their control and their use of materials, with creativity, experimentation and an increasing awareness of different kinds of art, craft and design.
