Sight Word Practice – Please practice your sight words, these are words that the kids need to know immediately on sight. By the end of the year your child must know how to read and write these words. Here are some fun ideas to help you practice. * Write them on index cards, place wax paper over them and trace with glue, cover with glitter, sand, noodles, etc. * Make two copies on index cards & play memory * Put shaving cream in the kitchen sink & write the words. * Play “hide & seek” – hide some cards around the house and tell your child which word to find (like an Easter Egg hunt). * Use water and a paint brush or Q-tip and write the words with water on kitchen counter.
