2. BrassRing Homepage Redesign
Feature Description:
The BrassRing New UI homepage has been redesigned! The homepage displays cards, grids, visualizations and welcome messages. Users can personalize the view of the homepage depending on their day to day tasks and needs.
We have created distinct prescribed configurations for 5 different personas (plus the Default persona), with each user having the opportunity to view data in the way that works best for them. Views persist along with filters from login to login. The personas are:
Recruiter
Hiring Manager
Administrator
HR User
Reporting/Analytics
HR Status Categories must be mapped for
Visualizations to work on the new homepage.

Can I add custom personas?
No, additional personas cannot currently be added.
One of our images has been removed from the homepage, where did it go?
The “hero” image has been removed to allow for more usable space on the screen for users.
I noticed that the I no longer have the Recent Activity tabs, why are they missing?
We have removed the Recent Activity tabs based on client feedback but we will be adding tabs for them on the homepage in the future.
I’m an admin and need access to ALL requisitions, how do I do that?
Users that need access to all reqs can do so via the hamburger menu.
What are the welcome messages included in the redesign?
There are two welcome messages: (1) Client-configured custom message (2) IBM maintained system message
Clients can elect to turn off the IBM system message

Users can close out the messages, but if they are updated by the admin/IBM, the messages will reappear on the homepage.
How many fields can be pulled into the homepage grid and card views?
The number of fields on the homepage card view is limited to 6. The homepage grid view can display up to 20 fields.
What is included in the Tasks tab?
The tasks listed out in the Tasks tab are currently for req and candidate form approvals.

What are the default configurations for each persona upon login?
Recruiter – Overall view defaults to My Reqs and the Card View. Default fields include: Req #, Job Title, Location, Department, Posting Icon, New and Total Candidates
Hiring Manager – Overall view defaults to the Tasks tab. When selectin the My Reqs, it will default to the visualizations. Default fields include: Req #, Job Title, Location, Department, Recruiter, New and Total Candidates
The Recruiter view is used for the remainder of the personas for now. We plan on adding more specific persona-based configurations for the others based on additional sponsor user research.
Can I configure the default fields for my users?
Yes, the persona defaults can be configured in Workbench. Tools > Settings > Home page administration > Administer Homepage for the appropriate persona.
What is included in the My Open Reqs tab?
The homepage is a reflection of the MY req relationship only. All associated req filter includes reqs you are the Manager, Recruiter, on the Req Team, or the Req Creator (who has not opted out), and have a req privilege for.
We do not use the Auto Req ID, we use the Optional Req ID. Is the homepage going to force us to view the Auto Req ID?
No, if the client uses the Optional Req ID it will be used instead of the Auto Req ID.

Do I have to be on the homepage to access my quick links?
Users can access the quick links from anywhere in the system. Quick links that were previously configured by the user will be present.
I have a number of user types in Workbench, is there an option to mass update the user types with the appropriate persona?
There’s no import option to associate the persona to the user type.
I’m on the redesigned homepage but when I view the candidate funnel I don’t have any data, why’s that?
HR Status categories need to be configured to use the candidate funnel.
Does the new homepage include translations?
Yes, the homepage has translations for all BrassRing languages except Arabic and Hebrew.
What branding options will be available?
Some branding can be configured in Workbench. Tools > Settings > BR UI Colors > Launch.
