Navigate the Hiring Center by using the Top Navigation Bar. The section you are working in is always highlighted in red. From the Top Navigation Bar you can access the following Recruitment and Selection functions: Hiring Center Home Page Visual Indicators As you navigate though the Hiring Center, you may see visual indicators by an applicant’s name within result lists. ECurrent Employee FEFormer Employee RIFRIF Applicant VVeteran VOVeteran Orphan *Felony WorkbenchView and approve requisition and applicant activity. Default lists req’s created in last 30 days. Can also select to view req’s created in last 60 days or all created. InterviewsManage and review interview schedule OffersManage and view offer activity Recruiter ListView all recruiters ReportsAccess reports that summarize requisition and applicant activity PreferencesSelect interaction and communication preferences Help Access Hiring Manager help material Workbench Page Quick Tips 2 3 4 5 6 7 1.Create New Req – Initiate the requisition process. 2.Quick Search Box – Search your Applicants, Requisitions and Offers. 3.My Requisitions – View all requisitions you created that are in Draft, Open, and Closed status. 4.Requisitions I Need To Approve – View requisitions you need to approve. 5.Requisitions Awaiting Approval – View requisitions you created that are in the approval process. 6.Upcoming New Hires – View any applicants you recently hired.

Access online help tools via the Help Resources links or call the accessHR Service Center at 1-888-TX-HHS-HR (1-888-894-4747) M-F, 7 AM - 7 PM CST Hiring Center How Do I Review My Applicants?How Do I Create A Requisition? 1.Select the Create New Req link from the Requisitions Quick Search Box on the Workbench page. 2.Enter all required information (i.e., all fields in red and marked by an asterisk). 3.Search for a position by Position Number. 4.Review the position title that pre-populates into the Functional Title field because this is the information that applicants will view on the job posting. 5.Cut and paste job descriptions into the Job Descriptions field from any documents that you have used in the past. 6.Add the appropriate individuals to the Interview Team. 7.Enter a monthly posting salary for ALL jobs (except those jobs that are hourly). 8.Save the requisition as a Draft. Notice that once the requisition is saved as a Draft, it is called a Requisition Profile. Click the Edit Profile link to add an assessment and interview questions. 9.Click the Route for Approval button once you have made all of your edits. Note: Once you route the requisition for approval you CANNOT edit the requisition. How Do I Make An Offer? 1.Select an applicant from the Applicants section of the Requisition Profile. 2.Click the Add Activity link for this applicant and complete the following required activities: Create a Summary Selection Form Extend Offer Hired/Accepted Ready for Hire 3.Send selection summary documentation to the Service Center. 1.Take Action – To review multiple applicants at one time, select the applicants you want to review by clicking on the check box next to the applicants’ names or using the shortcut keys and then selecting Review Applicants from the drop down box. 2.Stages – There are multiple stages in the hiring process that track the progress of each applicant. You cannot edit the applicant stages. 3.Visual Indicators – Indicate special types of applicants (e.g., an employee, former employee etc.). 4.Add Activity – Moves the applicant forward through the stages of the hiring process. 5.Shortcut Keys – If you have a large number of applicants attached to a requisition there are shortcuts to simplify the Take Action process (e.g., Check All on This Page) 1 2 3 4 5 From the Workbench page, click a Requisition Title that has applicants attached to it (only Open or Closed requisitions with an Applicant Count of at least one). Scroll down to the Applicants Tab on the Requisition Profile to view all applicants associated with your requisition.
