Students will demonstrate the ability to produce a basic word processing document, spreadsheet and slide through hands-on application. CONDITIONS: In a classroom environment, given a computer with Microsoft Office, standard office supplies, equipment and awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and factors. STANDARD: Upon completion tutorials complete all require sub-lessons and produce certificates. Students will be able to determine the correct type of military publication and research/locate applicable sections. CONDITIONS: In a classroom environment, given a computer with internet access, AR (Preparing and Managing Correspondence), DA PAM (Army Publishing Program Procedures); DA PAM (Management and Administrative Procedures), FM 1-0 (HR Support), The eMILPO Field User’s Guide and awareness of Operational Environment(OE) variables and actors. STANDARD: Research military publications and locate assigned topics using the table of contents, publication index and internet browser find (CNTL-F) function. Students will be assessed throughout the course on their ability to research HR publications and apply regulatory guidance.

Students will demonstrate the ability to produce a properly formatted memorandum using word processing software. Army Learning Area (ALA) – General Learning Outcome (GLO’s) Human Dimension – GLO 7 & 8 Professional Competence – GLO 14 INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY: Direct Instruction METHODS OF INSTRUCTION: Structured Overview Drill and practice Demonstration Practical Exercise Problem solving LEARNING OBJECTIVE ACTION: Prepare a Memorandum CONDITIONS: In a classroom environment, given a draft memorandum, AR (Preparing and Managing Correspondence), a computer with internet connectivity loaded with word processing software, standard office dictionary or ( , pen, pencil, student handout (Prepare Correspondence), and awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and factors. STANDARD: Prepare, save, and print a properly formatted memorandum using word processing software. CONDITIONS: In a classroom environment, given a draft memorandum, AR 25-50, AR 25-30, AR 25-59, a multimedia computer with internet connectivity and word processing software loaded on the computer, monitor, printer, standard office dictionary (or pen, pencil, and student handout (Prepare Correspondence) and awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and factors. STANDARD: Prepare, save, and print a properly formatted memorandum using word processing software. To receive a passing score, the document must be completed with a minimum of 70% accuracy.
