2 6 STEPS Double Space 1 inch margins Left Justify Title Heading
Font, size

3 Step 1: Double space 1. Highlight all text. 2. Right-click on text.
3. Choose Paragraph from the list. 4. Under Line spacing choose Double. 5. Click OK.

4 Step 2: 1 inch margins 1. Click Page Layout. 2. Click Margins.
3. Click Normal.

5 Step 3: Left Justify 1. Highlight all text OR under Editing click Select and then Select All. 2. Under the Home tab, click the Align Left icon.

6 Step 4: Title 1. Check to make sure all the “big” words in your title are capitalized. Do NOT capitalize articles, conjunctions, or prepositions unless they are the first word. (and, the, of, to, etc.) 2. Highlight the title. 3. Click Center. 4. Click Bold.

7 Step 5: Heading and tabs 1. Heading should be in the upper left and double-spaced. 2. Include your first and last name, class and period, date, assignment name. 3. Be sure to press tab to indent at the beginning of each paragraph.

8 Step 6: Font 1. Highlight the whole paper.
2. Click the 1st drop down menu and choose a font. Acceptable fonts include: Times New Roman, Georgia, or Arial. 3. Click the 2nd drop down menu and choose 12.

9 Saving your paper Always save your paper in 2 places.

10 Saving and Naming 1. Click File and choose Save As.
2. On the left side click Computer and find your student id number. Click to open this folder. This is your file at school. You can access this from anywhere in the building by logging into a computer. 3. Name your paper with your last name_assignment title with no spaces. For example: Kilkenny_GhandiDBQ. 4. Click Save. Find your id#

11 Always save IN 2 LOCATIONS!
1. Click File and choose Save As. 2. On the left side click Computer and find your jump drive. Click to open. 3. Name your paper with your last name_assignment title with no spaces. For example: Kilkenny_GhandiDBQ. 4. Click Save. DON’T BE SORRY! SAVE TWICE!

12 Save to your office 365 account
1. Click File and choose Save As. 2. Double-click on OneDrive – Cobb County School District. 3. Name your paper with your last name_assignment title with no spaces. For example: Kilkenny_GhandiDBQ. 4. Click Save. Don’t have access to OneDrive? Get your Office 365 account today! Click this link for Office 365 parent consent directions. Save and access your work from anywhere in the world!

13 Uploading to MISS Mcanear’s Drop box
1. Go to Miss McAnear’s blog and click DROPITTOMISSMAC. 2. Click the link in #1.

14 Uploading to MISS Mcanear’s Drop box
1. Enter the password mcanear101 mcanear101

15 Uploading to MISS Mcanear’s Drop box
1. Click SELECT TO UPLOAD. 2. Go to the place you saved your paper. Click on it and then click Open. 3. At the bottom of the page, it will list your paper and say “done” on the right side of the screen. NICE WORK! YOU DID IT!
