5 Habits of Mind – Short Stories
Make one journal entry for each story. Label them “Short Story 1, 2, or 3 Habits of Mind”. Write the title and author of each short story. List the main characters and the setting (time and place) of each story. Write a three-sentence summary of each story. List the Habits of Mind used by the main character. Explain how the main character used the Habits of Mind to overcome a challenge or to solve a problem. Choose 3 short stories to read. Use: Blue Literature Book Who Am I? Family Matters

For homework tonight, use your matrix as the guide for how to set your schedule. Write it in the matrix. Your novel must be read by November 15 (A) and November 16 (B). Remember, your novel must be: One you have not read before Fiction or nonfiction One that challenges you as a reader
