4 Roots Hold plant in ground. (Keep it from falling.) Store food.
Get water and minerals for the plant Bigger plants have larger, deeper roots.

6 Annual or Perennial Annuals have to be replanted every year (some flowers) Perennials come back every year (like grass and trees)

7 Bulb Tulip Bulbs are always PERENNIALS Daffodil

8 A Cutting Part of plant used to make new plants
(can be the root, stem or leaves) This is “Vegetative” (taking cuttings to make more plants)

9 Germinate When the seed comes to life

10 Pollen Powdery material on plants (that you see bees collect)
Needed to make seeds Some people are allergic

11 Pollination Moving pollen from anther to stigma.
The anthers are pouch-like and hold the powdery pollen. The stigma is the sticky bulb in the middle of a flower. It is FEMALE. When pollen comes out of the “anthers” and lands in the center of the flower or the “stigma”, the flower starts to fertilize.
