4 Weekly Homework Packet
This includes spelling practice, math practice, and 20 minutes of reading. Practice sheets should take no more than 30 minutes each night. Homework packets go home the first day of the week and are due the last day of the week. Homework provides practice for essential skills and helps students gain a sense of responsibility. Homework completion is an effort grade. Thank you for your support! 4

7 Grading A=90-100 B=80-89 C=70-79 D=60-69 F=59 and below
Parents access grades online

8 Grading Student’s can make up assignments for a better grade.
Students who receive a score of less than 80% are expected to correct mistakes and turn back in to be rescored. Improved score will be no more than 80%.

9 Study Hall Recess Study Hall is on Tuesday & Thursday during recess to make up missing assignments or work toward improving grades. Teachers can require students to stay in for study hall.

10 Safety Parents must sign in upon entry and wear nametags.
Transportation: All changes must be submitted in writing. Student Arrival Time: 8:30am Student Dismissal Time: 3:30pm

11 Snacks We are very lucky to have healthy fruit and vegetables for our students to eat twice a week. We need snack for the rest of the week. (Late lunch time!) Please donate classroom snacks. The snack should be: Healthy and nutritious Non-messy Finger food Nut Free Please send your child to school with bottled water. 11

12 Birthdays You may send or bring in a birthday treat if you wish. The treat will be served the last 10 minutes of school. Please make it simple and easy to serve. (Pre-cut or have individual servings for the entire class.) Birthday party invitations should be distributed outside of school unless the entire class is being invited. 12

13 Lunchroom Visitors Come enjoy lunch with your child!
First, sign in at the front office and get a visitor’s pass. Then, meet us inside the cafeteria for lunch. Please follow lunchroom rules to set an example for our students. You and your child may sit at your child’s assigned table. 13

14 Attendance When your child is absent, please call or send a note to excuse the absence. Please have your child to school between 8:30- 8:50. There is an automated system that calls the parents informing parents about daily absences. If your child is sick, keep her or him home! Make up work will be given to students upon their return to school.

16 Spelling Spelling test will be given on the last day of the week.
Students will have weekly spelling homework. Homework activities will vary. Homework is due on Friday. Please discuss the meanings of spelling words with your children. 16
