Have soldier click the “Title” and enter their name. It is not necessary to type in Query 1 at this point. It is displayed here as an example entry for the Practice Exercises and Examination. Have soldier click “OK” and read the information within the blank canvas to see how to insert items from the tree.

8 For this demonstration, we will extract the following Soldier Core Data and add to the canvass (Information will be added in the order that it is selected): NAME REPORTING FORMAT SSN CURRENT RANK AB HOME UIC CD TAPDB REC STAT DESCR TAPDB REC STAT CD SEX CD MARTL STAT CD MARTL STAT DESCR BASD DT Under +Apptitude Test Data Choose: GT SCORE and move to the Canvass

Have students Filter the TAPDB REC STAT DESCR to ACTIVE. Click Apply and Then OK at the bottom of the screen. Notice that the TAPDB REC STAT CD for active component is code “G”.

Click “Run Report” Click “View in CSV Format” Click “Save as” Find the created desktop folder and add the query. Click Open to view the report.

12 Click “Yes” for file format.
The file should now be visible. Next we will add filters for each of the headings in Row 1.

13 To add filters to the headings, click the empty cell above Row “1” and to the left of “A” to select all. Next click the Data tab Finally, click the Filter icon. All headings are now able to filter. Click anywhere inside of the Query to deselect all. Notice that the bottom Dark Green Line only reads READY. This should be the case prior to any new filters, as this is where final answers will be displayed. Next we will use an example.

If needed in percentages, 7/197 = or 3.7% Prior to the next sequence of filters, undo all filters until the ready line is empty. 7/197 = or 3.7% Undo filters until line is clear, prior to the next scenario
