2. What’s It All About ?
As Victory Programs moves forward with using Technology to:
Keep records,
Improve client services (QI) and
Report to our funders (Outcomes)
We have looked at various technology and information systems.

3. Centralized Computing
Uses two main components:
1. A Centralized or common system where the Information is stored and the computing work is done.
This can be based on 1 Server to a whole computer center’s worth usually in a remote secure location

4. Centralized Computing
And
2. A Terminal or Client PC which is used to access and operate the remote centralized system.
This can be based on a Terminal or full PC

5. Centralized Computing
Together these two systems combine to provide all users access to the same data for collecting and analysis.

6. The Target System
The Centalized system or the target server is the system that will run Your work and save the data.

They usually refer to a system that is located other than

7. The Local System
The physical device that you are sitting at or starting from also has a few names.

They usually refer to the system that you are physically touching the keyboard mouse and monitor.
