5 Windows NT Domains A domain contains a computer running Windows NT Server configured as a primary domain controller (PDC). The PDC maintains a directory database that stores all of the account and security information for the domain. Examples: uwstudent, uwyo, cosclab

6 User Profiles a collection of files that determine a user’s computing environment The user profile contains all user-definable settings for the work environment desktop settings, menus network and printer connections display, mouse and sound settings favorites, history, address books default user profile, roaming user profile
