Constantly better tracks on the Öresund Bridge
Investment in maintenance makes a big difference for safe and punctual train services. Furthermore, preventive measures result in lower maintenance costs in the long run. Part of our Öresund Bridge operation and maintenance project involves proposing actions necessary to keep the track in a good condition. For example, we have replaced the presence detection systems in the tunnel with an axle-counter system that provides reliable information about the location of the trains on the track. In total, we have helped to reduce the faults on the Öresund Bridge by 40%.

Construction Implement railway contracts within TEST (Track, Electrical, Signalling and Telecommunications) We plan and carry out all types of new installation and repair projects on Scandinavia's railway infrastructure. Our commissions include rail yard refurbishments, track replacement, signalling systems and signal boxes, overhead line work, sleeper replacement and points replacement. We assume total responsibility for everything from planning, quality and coordination of safety to the working and natural environments. Net sales SEK 1,3 billion (2015)

Construction – Some of our current projects
Complete refurbishment of the aerial lines between Hässleholm and Lund Track establishment at Farriseidet in Norway Development of the signal safety system on the light rail line in Stockholm EST Moholm-Falköping, the western mainline Track and overhead work at Holmestrand, between Sandnes and Stavanger, and between Langset and Kleverud in Norway. Ground and TEST work between Kilafors and Marmaverken

Infranord's largest assignment in Norway
Norway's largest infrastructure project at the moment is underway on the Dovre Line. On one of the country's busiest lines, between Oslo and Hamar, a double-track railway and a 60 km four-lane motorway are being built. By straightening out the stretch of railway, the travel time per section is cut by 30 minutes. The project is split into three stages and Infranord's job is to complete the first of these, a 17 km double track between Langset and Kleverud. The project includes both the track and overhead line work.

Test of environmentally adapted sleepers
Together with the Swedish Transport Administration and the company A-betong, Infranord tested new health and environmentally adapted concrete sleepers in The test is part of a possible ban on the use of creosote within the EU from Creosote is classed as carcinogenic and contains several substances with hazardous properties. Infranord laid a total of 1,500 TCS sleepers in Jönköping and Hultsfred. The TCS sleeper has a 50 year lifecycle, compared to the 5-10 year lifecycle of timber sleepers in water protection areas.
20
Focus on safety During the past year, Infranord spent a total of 62,600 hours on training , i.e. 30 hours per person, of which 75 percent were spent on safety. Since 2014, Infranord has held an annual safety week for all employees. In order to introduce the right improvement measures, we work carefully with routine incident reporting (i.e. events that could have resulted in an accident). 287 (232) incidents were reported in 2015.
