2 Before we begin… Brainstorm a topic / concept of interest
Think about something that you will be teaching in the near future (next grading period), that you would like to supplement with some resources that you find in today’s session. Welcome to today’s training session designed to present you with and allow you to explore the many wonderful resources available to you through Verizon Thinkfinity. My hope is that you will increase your awareness of what Verizon Thinkfinity has to offer, and discover specific resources that you will be able to use immediately in your classroom or in planning instructional activities. To make this experience more personal for you, please take a few minutes to think about what you may be teaching within the next 3 weeks, and use the Resource List document to write down your initial thoughts. Consider a curricular topic at a specific grade level such as animal classification for 5th grade, or you might want to explore a concept of interest as related to 21st century skills, such as creativity and innovation. NOTE: Encourage participants to choose a topic or concept of interest related to their instructional program, to be used as a stimulus to guide them to specific resources during today’s activities.

5 Identifying Interests…
Topic Concept Based on National and State Standards including: Curricular Focus Grade Level Specific Differentiated Based on 21st Century Skills including: Learning and Innovation Skills Life and Career Skills Information and Technology Skills How interesting it has been to hear the variety of topics and concepts of interest that each of you has shared with the group. You may have noticed that most of the topics shared tend to be content oriented with a focus on state or national standards, and are designed for use with specific age and ability levels. The concepts you have shared are more global in nature and tend to support some of the 21st Century Skills and interpersonal activities we hope to promote within our students. Verizon Thinkfinity has a variety of resources that will serve to support both topics and concepts. Let’s take a look at an example that can meet both of these areas of need:

6 How did you learn about the force of gravity?
Memorize the formula. Blah, blah, blah, Gravity, blah, blah, blah, Newton ….. Zzzzz… Huh? ?!?!? Think about the way you were taught about gravity, specifically force, thrust, and angle of trajectory. Does this look familiar? I’m sure you know of some teachers in your school who teach every lesson this way, through lecture, textbooks and other teacher-centered activities. All of these methods have their place in the classroom structure, but we feel that teachers can extend the repertoire of methods using Verizon Thinkfinity resources. I’d like to show you how one Verizon Thinkfinity resource involves students in their own learning (student-centered) and encourages critical thinking, rather than memorizing formulas and definitions. It involves problem-solving and collaboration, while helping students understand the complexities of gravity.

7 Exploring Gravity Can you find ways to hit your target by manipulating the thrust and angle of projection? How does the force of gravity affect the trajectory of an object in space? Round 1 Orbit the Earth Dock with the Station NOTE: Click on the interactive and show how the thrust and angle settings can be changed and the impact this will have on the rocket. Imagine a classroom where students are split into groups and asked to use this interactive to help answer the questions presented. By students manipulating the settings and seeing the results, they are able to acquire a deep level of understanding about gravity based on how the gravity of the earth and the moon affect the rocket. It is a student-centered approach that requires students to solve problems and come to their own understanding about gravity, thrust and angle. We recognize that teachers are doing great things in their classrooms already, without integrating Verizon Thinkfinity’s Web-based resources. We want to acknowledge that, and want to make sure that the message sent is that using Verizon Thinkfinity Web-based resources does not mean that you abandon all the great things that you are already doing, but that these resources can enrich and enhance what is already being done. If the resource does not enrich or enhance the lesson and support student learning of objectives, then the resource should not be used (or should be used in a different way). NOTE: Facilitate a short discussion with participants about the focus of the lesson on content, and the engagement level of students to this activity. Does the addition of this resource enhance or enrich a standard lesson on gravity to improve student learning? In what way? This particular resource promotes discovery learning, student-based learning, and student engagement. Other Verizon Thinkfinity resources can enrich or enhance lessons in other ways, including (but not limited to): • motivating students by providing learning activities and content in fun and interesting ways • making content relevant by providing primary sources (documents, images, objects) • providing additional content, not available through text books or other curricular materials • providing opportunities for independent practice of skills • providing opportunities for collaborative learning • providing opportunities for teachers and students to interact with technology for a content specific purpose, thus improving digital literacy Click on the link to “Lesson” to take participants to the Science NetLinks site and display the full lesson plan for this activity. Explain that Verizon Thinkfinity lesson plans include all of the information a teacher needs to implement the lesson in the classroom such as the solutions to the problems presented. Lesson

8 Objectives/Goals Why are we here? What will we accomplish? “What is Verizon Thinkfinity?” you ask… You soon will know and be able to share with others! Be wowed by the FREE resources! Figure out the best ways to find the FREE resources. Verizon Thinkfinity is not just about what resources are available, but how to integrate them into the classroom! Create an Integration Plan, so you can help others to do the same! We are going to spend the first part of today’s workshop looking at the types of resources available to educators through Verizon Thinkfinity and you will have time to explore the resources on your own. We’ll discover easy techniques for searching for exactly what you need, and we’ll also examine how these resources fit within a lesson that you can actually use in the classroom, providing you with the strategies to be successful. Then later on, you will choose one or more resources to use to create your own customized Integration Plan - something that you can implement in your classroom immediately. We’ll end our day by sharing what you have developed, and by talking about additional professional development opportunities that are available to you, closing our day with a review of what we have learned.

9 Targets for Today’s Training
Over the next three weeks: X number of you will use Verizon Thinkfinity in your classroom or planning at least 2 times within the next 3 weeks. X number of you will anticipate an increase in efficiency and/or effectiveness in the classroom by using Verizon Thinkfinity. X number of you will anticipate seeing at least one positive change in learners (i.e., more engaged, retaining more information, etc.) from using Verizon Thinkfinity. NOTE: You should set a target appropriate for your group here. Verizon Thinkfinity encourages you to set a number that is comfortable , realistic and appropriate for your training purposes. … and to accompany these objectives and goals, I’ve set some targets for us to work toward. My hope is that after today’s session, within 3 weeks: (go through the bullets) I’ll be checking in with you about halfway through our session to see if we’re on track to meet these targets, and then at the end of the day we’ll touch base to see where you are before you take your training survey. It’s important to be honest. If you are not there – that is fine. Knowing where we are at the end of the day will help me to improve this training, make sure that you are getting what you need, and inform me about any additional support or instruction that I can provide. NOTE: Be sure to enter specific numbers into this slide and discuss each bullet so that attendees understand what you hope to accomplish.

The addition of the National Center for Family Literacy and ProLiteracy allows us to extend our resources to those individuals and organizations who are striving to increase literacy throughout the world.

13 Verizon Thinkfinity Educational Resources
Learning Objects For students For teachers You already know that Verizon Thinkfinity houses tens of thousands of resources. This includes 3 different types of resources. One type of resource is individual learning objects (there are many different types of learning objects). Some of these are interactive resources that students can use online, and others are resources that a teacher can print and hand out to students. NOTE: These 2 resources come from the same lesson plan. They are both hyperlinked to the actual resource. Click on the graphics to go directly to the online resource. Online (to be used on the computer) Offline (Print-ready)

14 Verizon Thinkfinity Educational Resources
Ready to Use Lesson Plans The second type of resource is lesson plans. Not only does Verizon Thinkfinity provide the resources to use, but also a detailed plan for HOW to use them effectively. (Click on lesson plan) The reason that we call Verizon Thinkfinity lesson plans “Ready to Use” is because everything needed to implement the lesson is embedded right into the lesson plan. NOTE: Scroll down the lesson to show all the components of the lesson plan and point out links to the interactive and print resource from the previous slide. Mention the alignment between the student materials and the lesson plans. (Learning Objects are embedded!)

15 Verizon Thinkfinity Educational Resources
Partner-Reviewed Web Links (These are Learning Objects, too!) The third type of resource is Partner-reviewed Web links. We recognize that there is a lot of good educational content on the Internet, but it can be overwhelming to search and find the good quality content that is out there. So our Content Partners have done that hard work for you. They have found educational content on the Internet, put it through a panel review to make sure it is accurate, up-to-date, and unbiased. These reviewed Web links can be accessed through Verizon Thinkfinity.

16 Learning Objects Video Clips Interactives Web sites E-Sheets
Primary Source Documents Graphic Organizers Quizzes Online Manipulatives Rubrics Printable Maps A wide variety of available resources is available through Verizon Thinkfinity.org to enhance classroom instruction. The choice is dependant on available technology, time, and teacher objective. Be sure to take some time emphasizing that each of these types of resources is considered a “Learning Object.” Photographs Podcasts Virtual Museums Worksheets Audio Clips

17 HOW ... do you find the resources? Three Main Ways:
Navigation through Content Partner sites How do you find them??? There are three main ways. The first way is by navigating through each of the Partner sites. (We’ll look at the second and third ways later on in the workshop.) We will actually launch the Verizon Thinkfinity Web site where you will find yourself on the top level, or “homepage”: From this page you will make a choice as to which “portal” you will use to enter the Verizon Thinkfinity Web site. Please choose the Educators portal.

18 Educator Homepage Each of the Content Partners has created its own Partner site. From the Educator homepage, you’ll find links to each of the Content Partners from a row of icons at the bottom of the page, or you can click on the “Content Partner” link on the green navigation bar near the top of the screen. Because each of the sites was independently created by its respective Content Partner, each has its own look and feel. Navigation of the sites won’t be exactly the same, but you will find consistency in the available resources at each site. NOTE: Feel free to use the ThinkBytes document to provide a quick introduction to special features of each Content Partner site. Begin with the first “byte” listed and interject the other two during the 6-8 minute independent exploration period. Then move on to the next Content Partner site. NOTE: At this point, participants should have time for exploration of each of the Partner sites, to ensure that they can navigate to content from each of the Partner sites. As a trainer, you can choose to lead this in a number of ways, for example: Give several minutes each for exploration of Partner sites individually. Assign a Partner site for individual or groups of participants to explore in depth and then have them present navigation of the site to the rest of the group. Give about an hour for “free exploration” of the sites to participants, plus point out the places in the Educator’s Guide that can help them. NOTE: As participants browse for resources, you may want to provide them with a way to “bookmark” or keep a list of their favorite resources using the Resource List handout. Remind them that later in the workshop they will be asked to select one or more resources with which they will create a customized Integration Plan. Should they find resources that they would like to use in their Integration Plan, they should bookmark them, add them to the Resource List document, or keep track of them in another way.

19 HOW ... do you find the resources? Three Main Ways:
Navigation through Content Partner sites Search Engine The second way to find resources is through the search engine, which searches all Content Partner sites simultaneously.

20 Thinkfinity.org Enter keyword here The Verizon Thinkfinity Search Engine can be accessed from the main Verizon Thinkfinity homepage, as well as from each portal start page. Click into the Keyword field and we’ll take a look at how Verizon Thinkfinity is designed to help you locate resources quickly and easily. Notice how information is displayed in the search results screen. You will see the name of the resource, the name of the Partner site, a brief description of the resource with the ability to view additional details, the type of resource it is using a key to the icons, and all appropriate grade levels for this resource. NOTE: Model each of the various search options, basic search, browse subjects, browse keywords. Then give participants time (about 10 minutes) to explore the search engine themselves.

21 Break It’s time for us to take a break…so as you leave for lunch, chat with others from the workshop about what you have discovered so far. Reflect on how you think you might be able to use some of what you have explored. Enjoy your lunch!

22 Will we hit our target? 3-2-1… Re-Focus! 3 – You have 3 minutes
2 – to share with 2 people 1 – 1 exciting idea to share with others Now that we are back and refreshed, let’s take a few minutes to reflect back on the targets that we established this morning. Earlier we set a target that X number of you would be excited about teaching others to use Verizon Thinkfinity. How many of you have already identified at least one resource or one idea that you are excited about sharing with someone? OK…let’s take a few minutes to do a “3-2-1” activity. You will have 3 minutes to share with 2 people 1 exciting idea to share with others. Ready…get set….GO! NOTE: Reinforce the target for the training that was established early in the day. Will we hit our target?

23 HOW ... do you find the resources? Three Main Ways:
Navigation through Content Partner sites Search Engine Educator Homepage Let’s explore a third way to find resources – by following links directly off of the Educator Homepage.

24 Educator Homepage The Educator portal is designed specifically for teachers. From the Educator homepage you can easily access a variety of materials. For example, Verizon Thinkfinity provides educational resources that incorporate 21st Century Skills and themes, and the Verizon Thinkfinity Literacy Network provides hundreds of resources to support organizations and individuals with the development of literacy. You can browse resources by Theme or Subject. You can learn more about Verizon Thinkfinity’s opportunities for Professional Development here. The Verizon Thinkfinity Calendar will allow you to target special activities to correspond with any day of the year. These activities can complement and support all grade levels, and can further student interest on a variety of topics. Think of the discussion you can stimulate with this easy to use tool! The Newest Resources link will inform you of the latest resources which have been added to each of the Content Partner sites. Take the time to visit these exciting new materials designed to facilitate instructional activities in the classroom. Please take a few minutes to explore these features now. NOTE: Guide participants through several links from the homepage to give them alternative ways to locate resources.

25 Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Framework
Not only is it important for educators to not only be able to locate Verizon Thinkfinity’s resources, but also to be able to think critically about how to use them to support student learning. Creating a customized Integration Plan can help educators to do this. The Integration Plan starts with the question, “What type of Web-based resource is this?” that we discussed earlier in this workshop. The questions that follow have to do with how to best make use of the resource within the context of a lesson. Where within the instructional cycle will the resource be used…? What considerations need to be made to make application of the resource successful…? How will the success of the integration of the learning object be assessed? In order for you to support other educators in creating a customized Integration Plan, you should go through this experience yourself. Creating your own Integration Plan will provide you with a resource that you can use in your own Verizon Thinkfinity workshops. You will have 40 minutes to work on your customized Integration Plan. You have already started the process by identifying a topic and then searching for Verizon Thinkfinity resources during your explorations. If any of you are not in classrooms or do not work directly with students, your plan can be used for modeling to teachers with whom you work. You now need to think critically about the use of the resource(s) you have found. We’ll begin this process before the break and continue so that you will have approximately 40 minutes to create a customized Integration Plan. NOTE: A blank copy of the Integration Plan (Word doc) is located in the Training Materials area of the Trainer Toolbox. It would be a good idea to provide a hard copy to participants, as well as the digital copy.

26 Verizon Thinkfinity’s Integration Plan Process
You are a classroom teacher who has designed a lesson on area and circumference of circles. Your lesson plan includes students working with manipulatives, then using the Circle Tool interactive on the computer, and finally completing a worksheet to reinforce their skills. As you can see, there are three different learning activities described which are all part of one lesson plan. A Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Plan is designed to focus on only the learning activity that uses the Verizon Thinkfinity resource. Let’s discuss the critical issues that can promote a successful technology integration experience. Each of you should think of a specific WOW resource that you would like to develop into a Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Plan, which you may use as a model during any future training session you conduct. As an example, I have chosen the resource, Circle Tool. As we consider the various questions in this process, I’ll focus on how this tool can best be implemented for success, and encourage you to respond to the questions using the resource you have selected. In your packet you will find a detailed handout on the Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Process which uses another resource, Persuasion map, to illustrate how this process may be modeled and developed within your own training sessions. Feel free to use the Persuasion Map, the Circle Tool, or a resource of your own choosing in your future sessions.

27 Integration Plan Lesson Plan
Standards: National, State. Local, 21st Century Objectives: Students will: Calculate the ratio of circumference to diameter Discover the formula for the circumference of a circle Learning Activities: Hands-on - compass, paper Partner - TF interactive Worksheet Assessment: Related to objectives In my lesson plan on circles, I have listed three separate activities to help my students strengthen their content knowledge of area, circumference, radius and diameter, all core concepts in my math curriculum. However, my Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Plan will only focus on the activity in which students will engage a Verizon Thinkfinity resource, the Circle Tool. Integration Plan

28 Circle Tool Integration Plan Process
Let’s take a few minutes to become familiar with the resource, Circle Tool. Because we are already aware of the components of the Integration Plan, we can use the Integration Plan Template to provide the support we need to integrate the resource successfully into our lesson. Circle Tool Before you can address the critical questions you will ask yourself when deciding how best to integrate a specific resource, you must first become familiar with that resource. Let’s take some time to explore the resource now.

29 Integration Plan Process
There are several critical decisions we will need to make regarding the use of the Verizon Thinkfinity resource we have selected, such as: Who uses the resource - teacher? students? both? What strategies are going to be used - cooperative learning? discovery approach? What classroom configuration will work best to employ this activity? What does this activity look like for students? How will you know if the activity is successful? Taking the time to consider these questions will help ensure success when integration a Verizon Thinkfinity resource into your classroom activity.

30 Integration Plan Process
The Integration Plan Process is divided into four sequential steps, and are identified by color and title to facilitate the gathering of specific information. Let’s take a look at each part now. Be sure to have your participants take out the copies of the two page Integration Plan Process Participant Worksheet to complete as you engage in discussion and modeling each part of the process.

31 Integration Plan Process
Part I Selection Topic/subject/grade level Area of a Circle/Math/6 Objective/standard Measurement 6-8 Develop and use formulas to determine the circumference, radius, diameter and the area of circles Potential keywords: circle, radius, diameter Verizon Thinkfinity resource(s) Circle Tool - Notes about the resource(s) Interactive, several levels Ask participants to take some time to consider each of the questions in Part I of the Integration Plan Process regarding the resource they have selected.

32 Integration Plan Process
Part II Consideration Who will use the resource? Teacher demo/student exploration What technology/materials/supplies/strategy will be used? Computer; projector; work stations; url for resource; chart to manage student rotations and pairs; indirect instruction When will the resource be used and for how long? after introduction to circles; approx. 5 mins to demo; 15 mins for pairs Where will the resource be used? at the five workstations in my classroom Explain your vision for what students will do with the Verizon Thinkfinity resource. In groups of two, students will be assigned a computer with a link to the Circle Tool on the desktop. Taking turns, using the Investigations Tab, they will each create three circles with different diameters, Guide your participants to consider options and alternatives as they address each of the questions in Part II of the Integration Plan Process regarding the resource they have selected as well as the students and equipment available. This is a great time to also share the Classroom Configuration Chart, which is in their packet and is on the next slide as well. adding the data to the on-screen table. They will discuss how the data changes with each experiment as they use the tool, and will try to predict results

33 Whole group instruction with projection device
Whole group activity with small groups and mobile laptops Small groups in rotating stations One-to-one in rotating stations One-to-one in computer lab One-to-one with individual laptops Here you see several different possible scenarios for technology access in your school and/or classroom. You may not have any student computers to use, and must rely on a teacher station with a presentation device. Or you might have 3-5 stations so that students can work in collaborative groups. And you might also find yourself in a position to have individual stations for every student, either in a lab setup or with laptops that can be brought to your classroom. These scenarios reflect differences, but not roadblocks. How might you tap these various differences between no-tech, low-tech and high-tech options within the classroom? NOTE: Encourage dialogue regarding the reasoning behind various classroom configurations. NOTE: Use the action button to return to the Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Plan.

34 Integration Plan Process
Part III Extension How will you reach all students? Consider Learning Styles (Gardner); Work Styles (independent, pair, leader, follower, active, quiet, etc); Ability Levels (special needs, low, average, high, gifted) Basic level students will select circles with a radius equal to a whole number; advanced students will select circles with a radius ending in a fractional part. The difficulty level can be adjusted for even greater challenge as needed. Students will work in pairs. High interest students may try additional circles. Which of the following 21st Century Skills will apply: X Core Subject Focus Creativity X Problem-Solving X Communication X Collaboration What behaviors will indicate that students are meeting with success in the activity? I will watch to see that students are moving the radius to the correct position   and that they can add the results to the data table. I will listen for words that indicate their recognition of patterns that form within their data table. More and more, teachers are tasked with indicating how their instructional activities are designed to meet individual student needs as well as 21sdt Century Skills. Part III of the Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Process will direct them as they consider these issues.

35 Components of the Integration Plan
Listing the Standards and Verizon Thinkfinity Learning Object(s) Determining Instructional Elements - Integration Planning for Student Success - Implementation Developing the Student Learning Activity Conducting a Trial Run without Students Reflecting on How the Activity Fits within the Lesson or Unit Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 The Verizon Thinkfinity Integration Plan is organized into six major areas. The information you have gathered on your Integration Framework Participant Worksheet will allow you to complete these sections quickly and easily.

36 Creating a Customized Integration Plan
Learning Activity Description Standard and Learning Objects Addressing 21st Century Skills Learning Activity Differentiation Learning Activity Effectiveness Let’s spend a few moments reviewing the components of a sample Integration Plan. Several areas within the plan are highlighted here to help you better understand what should be included within these sections. Every Integration Plan must meet a specific standard, so look for a standard in the appropriate area. Next to that, you’ll see where to list the specific learning OBJECT to use to meet the targeted standard. Remind your participants again that this is not a learning objective, but the actual object or resource from Verizon Thinkfinity. Encourage your participants to have their participants focus on just one learning object. Of course, if it is something like an interactive with an accompanying handout, then feel free to list both items. Emphasize the need to describe in detail exactly what it is that students will actually do with the learning object selected. Are students working independently, in pairs, or triads? Are they taking turns, do they record any information or make observations? Is there dialogue among students during the activity, and if so, what questions has the author designed to focus this into productive discussion? Next, have them consider what factors will indicate that the use of this learning object is effective. Remember, the focus here is on determining if the selected learning object is being used effectively. Finally, encourage participants to go through the Integration Plan themselves by trying it out in the manner in which they plan to use it. Ask them to determine what questions or problems students might encounter as they complete this task. Classroom Configuration Learning Activity Trial Run Classroom Management

37 Integration Plan Process
Part IV Transition After transferring information to the Integration Plan Template, what questions, if any, remain that you need to consider? Participants should now refer to their Integration Framework Participant Worksheets, synthesize the information they have gathered and complete the Verizon Thinkfinity integration Plan template. Once everything is competed except for part 5, they will use their notes to conduct a trial run of the instructions as written, to see if it flows as they have intended. If there are areas that need to be revised as a result of this task, encourage them to make the revisions right on their Verizon Integration Plan Template. Conduct a trial run of your activity as described in section 4A. Reflect upon the information you have gleaned from this experience. If necessary, make revisions to your Integration Plan prior to implementing the activity with students.

38 60 minutes to work on Integration Plan
I will provide a visual timer for all of you so that you can pace yourself as you work through the development of your Integration Plan. You will have 60 minutes to complete your task. The timer will advance in 10 minute intervals, so plan accordingly. If you finish before the end of the time period, feel free to return to the Verizon Thinkfinity Web site to continue your exploration of the many features you will discover there. NOTE: Use of a timer will be helpful. To start the on-screen timer, simply click on the watch graphic. If you do not wish to use the on-screen timer, simply click anywhere on the slide EXCEPT on the watch when the 60 minutes are up. NOTE: Be sure to circulate among all attendees to respond to questions or direct them to specific resources if they are struggling with any part of the process.

39 Integration Plan Sharing
OK! You all have been very productive designing your own Integration Plans. Let’s take some time now to share what you have developed. NOTE: This can be done in a variety of ways, depending on personal training style, as well as the size of the group. If you have a large group, consider dividing them into smaller groups so that there is ample time for sharing within the smaller subgroups. If your entire training group is small to midsized, you may have them each share one at a time, or ask for volunteers to share. You might also have a “gallery walk” where everyone has their Integration Plan open and then participants walk around looking at each plan on their own. Participants can use sticky notes to provide feedback to the authors of the plans that they are reviewing.

40 Professional Development
As you have discovered today, there are hundreds of resources available to help you meet the instructional needs of the students you serve, either directly or indirectly. This session has presented you with some starting points, and some familiarity to get you started. Verizon Thinkfinity offers additional opportunities for professional development so that you can continue to enhance your own knowledge, and prepare you to help other educators become familiar with these free resources. As with the content available through Verizon Thinkfinity, we are currently working with the ISTE to align our professional development materials with the NETS-T (for teachers). Be sure to take the time to revisit the site often and see what is available to help you continue your learning.

41 How much can you remember?
So…how much do you remember? Let’s take a few minutes to review some of the major concepts we have covered today.

42 1 Closure - What’s behind door number… ?
Behind each “door” is a question or topic that can help you to reflect back on the material we have covered together. Each of you will have an opportunity to do so by selecting which “door” to open. NOTE: Choose one person to begin and ask them to pick any of the “doors.” Click on that door to go to that question. will use Verizon Thinkfinity in your classroom or planning at least 2 times within the next 3 weeks? anticipate an increase in efficiency and/or effectiveness in the classroom by using Verizon Thinkfinity? anticipate seeing at least one positive change in learners (i.e., more engaged, retaining more information, etc.) from using Verizon Thinkfinity? NOTE: Re-visit the targets posted on board/flip chart/PPT. Check in by asking for a show of hands and writing/typing the count next to each posted target. Let’s re-visit our targets from this morning. How many of you found resources that you can use in your classroom or for planning? How many of you anticipate an increase in efficiency and/or effectiveness in the classroom by using Verizon Thinkfinity? How many of you anticipate at least one positive change in learners (i.e., more engaged, retaining more information, etc.) from using Verizon Thinkfinity? NOTE: If the number is lower than the target for one or more, the trainer should ask, “What would need to change for more of you to say Yes?” Do this for each target that is less than 90%. You will receive a brief survey in about 3 weeks to see how it’s going and to offer any additional support you may need. Thank you for giving us your feedback. It is invaluable to use in creating the best Verizon Thinkfinity training possible.
