2 Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs
The energy saved by switching to CFL’s in 2007 could light up a city the size of Washington D.C. for 30 years.

3 CFL’s Continued The average ENERGY STAR bulb is designed to last over 7 years based on typical household use. It takes 10.3 mg less mercury to produce a CFL than a incandescent bulb.

4 More CFL’S !! Changing to these bulbs would be the same as planting 2.58 million acres of trees in terms of greenhouse gas removal.

5 Solar Charged Lawn Mower
Gas Lawn Mower Consumes an unlimited resource (the sun). Lower noise levels The brushless motor requires no maintenance and has a longer life Consumes a non-renewable resource (gasoline) Noise pollution Ongoing purchase of gasoline Requires constant maintenance on the motor

6 Solar Powered Lawn Mowers
It’s estimated that a solar powered mower creates at least 85% less CO2 in comparison to a petrol mower. (Maybe you have seen the figures, which they quote, that a single 2 stroke petrol mower emits, in just one hour of use, the equivalent volume of forty late model cars.)
