13 NAWIC Education Foundation
The NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF) was established in 1973 by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). NEF is an IRS 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, which means all donations are deductible as a charitable donation. The Board of Trustees governs the Foundation. Since its inception, NEF has focused on construction education and offers a number of certification programs. NEF is proud to be named a Quality Education Provider by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). In addition, the Foundation has developed several programs and competitions created to foster and promote construction as a viable career choice among students from grade school to high school level.

14 NAWIC Founders Scholarship Foundation
Each year we are pleased to award over $25,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,000. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 28 of each year to qualify for competition.  Undergraduate Scholarship Application Construction Trades Scholarship Application The NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation is an equal opportunity organization, and encourages applications from all individuals. 18 Networking Members of the Association are business owners and managers, executives, subcontractors, accountants, estimators, tradeswomen, attorneys, architects, engineers and more. Chapter meetings, national Conventions and regional conferences provide opportunities to build a strong communication network for developing and broadening valuable business contacts. Various committees such as Safety and Health Awareness, Professional Education and Tradeswomen encourage members to participate in their areas of individual expertise, and to offer enhanced knowledge and support from other members with similar specializations.
