2 NEXCOM The program to address NAS domestic A/G communications for voice and data The FAA established the NEXCOM Program in May 1998 NEXCOM Program is fully funded + must address the spectrum congestion US community supports approved to implement VDL Mode 3 as the technological solution to spectrum congestion currently acquiring a Multi-Mode radio FAA Administrator asked the community for input on the current path established NEXCOM Aviation Rules Committee (NARC) Information has not been provided to the FAA or administrator Due to FAA administrator in May 2001
