4. What is a Digital Cookie Home Page?
The central hub for the Digital Cookie site, including an overview
Narration:
The parent Home page is the central hub for Digital Cookie in that it displays an overview of everything located on the web page. Items such as notifications, sales data, council messages, and cookie order statistics can be viewed from the Home page.

5. Narration:
The Home page contains a lot of information. We will walk you through each section of information in this tutorial.
At the very top of the page, you will see the countdown timer for the cookie sales campaign, alerting you to the number of days left to purchase cookies. Below this counter are some links that will take you directly to other pages within the Digital Cookie site.
The Customers link is important because it is a direct link to your Girl Scout’s customer-facing page.
Important notifications are located on the Home page. Check the Notifications area often; the messages here will let you know if any orders have come into the web page that require an action to be performed.
From this page, you can also see the sales progress of your Girl Scout and how many more boxes need to be sold to reach her goal. This is a good time to check the accuracy of the information; if anything is inaccurate, you can edit the information in the Parent Preview page.
Any messages from the council will appear on the Home page as well.

6. Narration:
You will have important details under the “All set? Let’s go!” section on the Home page. This section will tell you when the Girl Scout’s web page has been approved well as when any girl-posted information has been submitted for approval. As mentioned earlier, you will also see the customer link in this section.
When orders have been placed using Digital Cookie, you will receive a notification . When you log onto your Digital Cookie site, the notification section will give you information about the orders placed within Digital Cookie. From the Home page, you can select the “Check Out Your Orders Now!” link to go to the Cookie Orders tab and view the details of all orders. You can also click the Cookie Orders tab directly to view the cookie orders.

7. Narration:
The Cookie Orders tab will display all orders that have been placed through the Digital Cookie site. If you want to find more information about the customer at this point, you can click the customer link (the order number) to be directed to the Cookie Order Detail page.

8. Narration:
The Order Detail page displays all the customer information that was input into Digital Cookie. Included are the customer’s name, address, , all the information about cookies purchased, and the order total.

Now we will return to the Home Page.
The statistical information at the bottom of the Home page reflects all sales that are sold online using Digital Cookie. Any manually entered information does not appear here. For a quick comparison of online to offline orders, look at the sales goal graph at the top of the page.
The sales data displayed here will show total orders, sales by the variety of cookie, sales by week (to show sales over time), and sales by type of delivery method.
As the cookie campaign continues, you will want to visit the Home Page often to review the details of the cookie sales campaign.
