2 Task 1: Integrated Instruction Course (ELED 4220)
Context for Learning Planning a lesson segment (3-5) lessons around a central literacy focus The content standards (Social Studies or Science) will be the topic of your literacy lesson segment

3 Task 2: Research and Analysis course (ELED 4122)
Video taping and analyzing your teaching

4 Task 3: Measuring and Evaluating Course (ELED 4121)
Analyzing student work in literacy and planning lessons based on students’ performance

5 Task 4- Mathematics assessment
Those of you student teaching in Fall, 2014 are exempt from Task 4

6 In this course… for edTPA
Complete a context for learning (describe school and classroom) Choose a central focus (literacy skill) that typically gets taught in the early fall (September) and a content (Science or Social Studies) that can be taught at the same time – the goal is to do a project that you can use part or all of in the fall ! Literacy = reading or writing skills This course- outline a 10 lesson unit on the same content (Science or Social Studies) Write 3 detailed lessons around the central literacy focus

7 During student teaching…
You will pick a new central focus (literacy skill) and complete Tasks 1, 2, and 3 around that central focus

8 Guidelines We will do this in parts… all the parts are in the template. During this semester you will get feedback and support During student teaching you cannot receive “detailed” feedback on your edTPA project
