3. Proposal Overview This is your “elevator pitch” slide
You are presenting to a review panel of scientists who are not necessarily experts in your topic. In one slide, you are asked to explain the concept, what you are planning to achieve and the impact of the potential outcomes for the field and for SLAC.

Explain the relevance of the proposal to the FY18 LDRD call (Category 1 or 2)

Describe the project’s scientific or technological concepts
Describe work that is being performed already at SLAC and elsewhere on the topic, indicating the current state-of-the art.

Describe the project’s objectives
Explain the breakthroughs expected from this work and how these will advance the current state-of-the-art described earlier.

Describe the research approach/method
Describe any risks or challenges and your assessment/mitigation to them

8. Project Description: Anticipated results/deliverables
Provide a brief description of the anticipated results or deliverables.
Provide supporting information on your anticipated results by showing examples of prior work, simulations etc.

10. Future Opportunities: Roadmap beyond the LDRD period
Provide a 5yr roadmap of activities and possible outcomes from the proposed topic.
Explain your vision beyond the scope of this LDRD. How will this piece of work motivate further scientific or technological efforts beyond the LDRD timeline?
