Question #08: Why is confident/assertive the best approach?
Passive: People who respect rights of others, but don’t respect their own rights. Not speaking up when unfairly accused. Backs down easily. Aggressive: People who respect their own rights to say what they feel/think, but do not respect the rights of others. Overpowers or is hurtful of others. May get loud and violent too. Confident/assertive: Expressing your thoughts & feelings in a way that respects both your rights and rights of others. The BEST way to communicate-encourages others to work with you. Standing up for what you believe in a respectful non-violent mannger. Question #08: Why is confident/assertive the best approach?

When you communicate in your “BEST” way, you are paying attention to the following:
B=Body Posture: Standing up straight, being confident, but not arrogant. E=Eye Contact: Looking the person in the eye at a comfortable distance. S=Speech: Using appropriate language and saying what you really T=Tone of Voice: Using a calm voice, not whispering or shouting
