1 Bible The Living Word of God

2 God “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.” (John 1: 1) God

3 When we speak of the living WORD of God, we presuppose that God is speaking to us. And the WORD of God is above all the other words.

4 The Word of God is a love letter, a message which involves us in God’s redeeming love. We turn to God in our needs, and God responds.

5 The Word of God was at all times,
a concrete message for concrete people in concrete circumstances.

6 In his Word God grants healing, hope, forgiveness, reconciliation.

7 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my Words will not pass away.”
Mt 24: 35

8 Though the grass withers and the flower wilts, the Word of God stands forever.
Isaiah 40: 8 Stands forever

9 “So shall my Word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55: 11 achievement

10 “The Word of God is alive and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword… and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.” Heb 4: 12 Alive

Readiness

23 abides “The Word is near you. In your mouth
and in your heart.” Rom 10: 8 abides

24 inheritance “And now I commend you to God and to that gracious Word
of his that can build you up and give you the inheritance…” Acts 20: 32

25 “You shine like lights in the world, as you hold on to the Word of life…”
