1 The Word of God is “Living” and “Powerful”
Hebrews 4:12

2 Lifeless Words

3 Living Words

4 God’s word isn’t a “Dead Letter”
Notice the words of Peter: “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “ All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the LORD endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:23-25)

5 God’s word isn’t a “Dead Letter”
Jesus said it this way: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Matt. 24:35)

6 The Life of God’s Word is Due to the Nature of God Himself
God is Eternal “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God” (Hebrews 3:12)

7 The Life of God’s Word is Due to the Nature of God Himself
God is Truthful “in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began” (Titus 1:2)

8 The Life of God’s Word is Due to the Nature of God Himself
God is the Giver of Life “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63) IT IS WORTHY OF YOUR READING

9 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It is capable of accomplishing its purpose: “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,       And do not return there,       But water the earth,       And make it bring forth and bud,       That it may give seed to the sower       And bread to the eater,        11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;       It shall not return to Me void,       But it shall accomplish what I please,       And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11)

10 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It is able to save men’s souls: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)

11 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It has the power to produce faith: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

12 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It can produce fruit in hearts of men: “because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth.” (Colossians 1:5-6)

13 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It can produce fruit in hearts of men

14 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It can reveal the righteousness of God: How Jesus died for our sins. “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

15 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It can reveal the righteousness of God: How we can receive forgiveness of sins Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:36-38)

16 The Life of God’s Word is Seen in its Power
It can reveal the righteousness of God: How we can receive forgiveness of sins: And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16) IT IS WORTHY OF YOUR OBEDIENCE

17 The Need Remains the Same
Souls are in Need of Salvation “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

18 The Need Remains the Same
Souls Need to Hear “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16)

19 The Need Remains the Same
Souls Long for an Inheritance “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32)

20 The Need Remains the Same
Souls Need to be Equipped “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) IT IS WORTHY OF YOUR SHARING
