7 Pair Work-Questions In what way are American holidays different from Chinese holidays? How are they similar? Make a list or just talk about it. Think about: Seasons What kind of people are you celebrating What kind of things do you do during the holiday.

9 Group Work-Make Your Holiday
What is something (An event/something special to you) you think should be celebrated but is not already being celebrated? Can be serious or funny. (Free Hugs! Everyone gets a cat!) Who can/should celebrate it? Is it for a specific type of person? (Chinese holidays/Women’s Day/St. Patrick’s Day) When do you celebrate it? Why is that day and time of the year special? How long do celebrate for? 1 day? 1 week? What exactly do you do to celebrate? Be specific! (Eat, drink, go places, etc.) Where is the best place to celebrate?

10 Homework Write about which American holiday you would like to celebrate the most. 5 reasons (sentences!!!) why. Tell me how it's similar and different from a Chinese holiday.
