2 William Mischo Acting Dean and University Librarian University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
William Mischo is currently Acting Dean and University Librarian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also Head, Grainger Engineering Library Information Center and the Berthold Family Professor of Information Access and Discovery at Illinois. Bill has been involved in numerous grant funded digital library projects, including the NSF Digital Library Initiative, IMLS National Leadership grants, Mellon Foundation grants, and NSF NSDL (National Science Digital Library) grants. Bill has published over 70 articles and conference papers and presented at more than 100 conferences. He was elected a Fellow of the AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) in 2015 for advances in information technologies and was the recipient of the 2009 Frederick G. Kilgour Award for Research in Library and Information Technology from ALA/OCLC. He also received the 2001 Homer I. Bernhardt Distinguished Service Award from the American Society for Engineering Education Engineering Libraries Division. Masters, Ph.D. or M.D. degree from one of the top research universities in the U.S.

4 Susan Wald Berkman Assistant Director of Collection Development &Technical Svcs Nova Southeastern University Susan is the Assistant Director of Collection Development & Technical Services at the Alvin Sherman Library, Research and Information Technology Center at Nova Southeastern University. She started out as the Subject Specialist for Business at NSU and has her own information services business, Research-Ability. Her other professional experience was as the Research Director for First Marketing/Progressive Impressions International.  Susan earned a Master's degree in Library Science from Rutgers University and a BA in Economics from Brandeis University. She has served on the Boards of the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) and the Florida Direct Marketing Association, was Past-Chair of the Special Library Association’s Division of Advertising and Marketing, and is a member of the American Library Association. Masters, Ph.D. or M.D. degree from one of the top research universities in the U.S.

15 Games: Library Escape Collaboration between Peking U Library, IEEE Student Branch and IEEE University Partnership Program Two-day game which requires participants to look for clues inside the library (and in online resources), solve multiple challenges, “find the key,” and “break out of the library” Over 1,000 participants in 2017 This event won 1st prize at China Library Innovation Competition
