In order to receive the grant for this course, students must have a minimum of a 2.0 unweighted gpa and a minimum of 13 on each section of the ACT.

15 What is Dual Enrollment?
Dual Enrollment takes place when a high school student is enrolled in high school and college simultaneously. Dual Enrollment provides a means for high school students to accelerate their college education and get a feel for what learning will be like after high school. Students can take a variety of courses. These classes include but are not limited to English, Math, & History and can also include career tech classes such as Photography, Management, Video Production, Video Game and Simulation Design! Students must meet the entry level requirement for the class they want to take.

16 The Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant awards two $500 grants toward two college classes. Students may also receive an additional $200 toward a third class. Any additional costs and textbooks are the student’s responsibility. Students are eligible for a total of four semesters of the Dual Enrollment Grant - two semesters in junior year and two semesters in senior year.

17 Steps for Dual Enrollment students to complete:
Complete an application for admission. Submit a copy of valid ACT scores. Submit a copy of high school transcript. Complete the Hepatitis B form. Complete the Dual Enrollment Grant application.
