3 Lab Test: Demolition Derby
Instructions: This lab practicum test will be worth a total of 20 points. 15 points will be for the work you show on your lab report that leads you up to your prediction, and 5 points will be for the accuracy of your prediction (see evaluation grading scale below). Be sure to SHOW ALL WORK. Include all DATA collected, GRAPH produced, EQUATIONS used and all CALCULATIONS leading to your prediction. For your test, your group will be given one battery-powered vehicle. Your task is to predict the POSITION (distance) of your buggy at a given time determined by your teacher.

What you will do: Accurately determine the SPEED at which your car travels. You may make any measurements you feel are needed and ask for any tools you may need. On your lab report you will have…. A procedure Data table Graph Calculations Once you have collected all your data, come up to your teacher and they will take your car and give you a time Time:_____________ Once you have your prediction calculated come up to your teacher to TEST your prediction using your buggy. Only 2 test per group will be allowed!

5 Lab Test: Demolition Derby
For the actual test of your prediction, the accuracy of your results will determine how many points out of 3 you earn according to the following scale: 5 points for successful prediction 4 points for missing by a car length or less 2 points for missing by more than a car length but not more than 5 car lengths 0 point for missing by more than 5 car lengths PREDICTION: Our buggy # _____ will be located ___________ m from its starting point at our predicted time.
