3. Death note
Death note is an anime about Light Yagami a collage student who finds a death note, a note book that Shinigami (gods of death) use to kill the humans of earth, when Light finds the death note he begins using it to kill criminals.
After criminals continually die the police call in L the best detective in the force to help find and capture Kira (light)
Later in the show L dies because a girl named misa misa is obsessed with Kira and find another death note and orders her Shinigami to kill L and his understudy near takes over.

4. Soul Eater
Soul eater is an anime about people wo are able to turn into weapons and the ones who can manage/handle them called meisters, They work for the DWMA (Death Weapon Meister Academy) to exterminate kishin eggs (demons). The teams are Maka Albarn And Soul Eater Evans (a scythe) Black Star and Tsubaki Nakatsukasa (a chain scythe) and Death the kid with Liz an Patty Thompson (guns) they work to take down the witch medusa and her sister Arachne who awaken the kishin Asura, who attempts to destroy the world

5. Tokyo Ghoul
Tokyo ghoul is an anime about Cannibalistic human creatures called Ghouls. The Ghouls are a species only able to survive by devouring human flesh. 1 Human keeps them alive for about a month or 2, but there are binge eaters who eat many humans in one night.
Unfortunately Kaneki Ken meets the binge eater and she ends up almost killing him, luckily she gets crushed and he gets her organs transplanted into him and becomes half ghoul and half human.

6. Black Butler
Black Butler is an anime about 2 young boys named Ciel Phantomhive and Alois Trancy.
Alois isn’t until the second series but Ciel Phantomhive witnesses his parents burning alive in a fire set by an angel named ash/Angela and is captured shortly after
After spending a while there he makes a deal with a demon named Sebastian Michaelis and kills the angel
In the second season he meets Alois trancy after loosing his memory
So he and Alois end up becoming enemies, Alois made a deal with a demon named Claude Faustus and they both end up dying
He also has a maid named Hannah who turn Ciel into a demon in the end of the show

Steins gate is about a team of scientists who find a way to send messages back in time using a phone and a microwave.
In the begging they use the time machine to go back in time and save a girl named Makise kurisu , Later they meet others and a in he pictures they get more lab members.

8. Attack on Titan
Attack on titan is an anime about humanity versus humanoid giants called titans who devour humans.
Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman witness as their mother is devoured by a titan and vow to kill all titans by joining the scout regiment
Later on we find out that Eren is able to turn into a titan along with 4 others in the scout regiment
The beast titan, The colossal titan, eren, the armored titan and the female titan
There they meet Captain Levi Ackerman humanity's strongest solider
On April season 2 came out

9. Blue Exorcist
Blue exorcist is an anime about the sons of Satan and a human girl who was an exorcist, the sons are raised by a priest as humans. As their demonic powers were sealed in a sword.
Later on the boys join a cram school (a school to become an exorcist) and meet other exorcists.
In the end they team up to defeat Satan himself after he opens the gate of Ghenna

Manga's are either what the animation studios decide to base their shows off of but others are based off of different kinds of anime, like blue exorcist, death note black butler and many more. The manga's normally have anywhere from books in the series .
