6 Pros and Cons of HE (Higher Education) courses
Meeting new people Learning the depth of your subject. More likely to get a job with a degree Leads to better jobs Learn to do stuff independently. Cons: The fees The risk of taking out loans No guarantee you will succeed Not gaining any work experience in this time. Change of heart Massive workload

7 Work experience There are many opportunities for work experience in Torbay. There are many types, some are work placement, apprenticeships and internships. Employer: I Bounce Address :Unit 1 Milber Trading Estate Newton Abbot TQ12 4SG Employer: Channel 4 NOTE: you need to a professional from the industry to find out what skills they recommend and how they entered the industry- do this now!

8 Pros and Cons of Work experience
I could get a job with just work experience, if I had enough knowledge of the roles and responsibilities, it would also get me references from the previous work experience. The first job could be something small such as desigining something for their social media. Does an Apprenticeship constitute as work experience? Does an Apprenticeship constitute as work experience? They are both very similar, the trainee decides whether it is an apprenticeship or just work experience. Pros: Opportunity to be hired at the end. No commitments to the actual industry and able to try out the role. Cons of work experience: Unpaid

9 Training You can get training by attending courses or you can apply for a low paid job which involves training Ibounce is a business that offers training in media related subjects, it is a low paid job, it can open many opportunities. Tell me about the company and insert a picture of that business Ibounce is a trampoline park that offers opportunities in the media industry, they are currently looking for an apprentice.

10 Pros and Cons of Training
You can get a job with training, if you started at a lower pay job with training, it can open up opportunities in higher paid jobs. Cons: There may be different ways of how people do the training, your future employer may want it done a specific way, which you may not have been trained on.

11 Conclusion In conclusion to this presentation, I think the best way in for me, is to go in to a low paying job, get the training that is required for me to pursue my career in this industry. I think it is the best way in because it will give me a lot of experience, I won’t have to pay any student fees and also I will be able to use the low paying job as a future reference, to help me move my way up in to better positions. Also if I was to have a change of heart with this industry, I would be able to get out of it a bit easier due to have not paying so much for a degree.
