3 404 Permit Requirement Establish Continuous Flow and Water Quality Monitoring Station Flow Turbidity pH Dissolved Oxygen Temperature Nitrate (Quarterly) Speaker: Kelly Continuously Collect Data and Publish to Website

4 Advantages of USGS Satellite Communication – No need for running cellular repeaters or communicable cable 100% Solar Powered – No requirements for power service Established Water Quality Network with industry leading data (no question of data integrity) Website already established with data access Provide all maintenance, calibration, and equipment replacement Hundreds of similar gaging stations throughout the County and throughout Georgia Since USGS desire to have a N Paulding Station - Waiving capital cost Annual O&M Cost (including replacement is $54,800) Annual Nitrate Sampling is $4,400 Speaker: Kelly

5 Location Easy access Will require clearing for approximately a dozen trees for solar / satellite access Location of historical monitoring so continuity of data Unit will be located outside of stream buffer Speaker: Kelly

7 Recommendation For Paulding County to contract with USGS for installation of a stream monitoring stations downstream of the RCR Reservoir form monitoring of flow, Temperature, Specific Conductance, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, and Turbidity. In addition for Paulding County to contract with USGS for grab sample services for Quarterly monitoring of Nitrate.
