2 Exodus 15: 1…“I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted; He has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea. 2The LORD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him. 3The LORD is a warrior; Yahweh is His name.

20 Exodus 16: 1The entire Israelite community departed from Elim and came to the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had left the land of Egypt. 2The entire Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. 3The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by pots of meat and ate all the bread we wanted. Instead, you brought us into this wilderness to make this whole assembly die of hunger!”

26 What did the LORD do in response to their grumbling?
He listened.

29 4Then the LORD said to Moses, “I am going to rain bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. This way I will test them to see whether or not they will follow My instructions. 5On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather on other days.”

To obey.

39 That disobedience was non-productive.
What did the LORD want to teach the Israelites? To obey. That disobedience was non-productive.

40 What did the LORD want the Israelites to know?

41 12“… At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will eat bread until you are full. Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God.”

43 What did the LORD want the Israelites to know?
That He was Yahweh, their God.

44 Take it Home! We can approach the future with confidence,
because the LORD is our God.
