We will no longer have interim and permanent levels for the TQS The document is in draft form until signed off by cabinet. There will then be an “implementation window”.

18 Competency 3 – Demonstrating a Professional Body of Knowledge
(c) applying student assessment and evaluation practices that: • accurately reflect the learner outcomes within the programs of study; • generate evidence of student learning to inform teaching practice through a balance of formative and summative assessment experiences; • provide a variety of methods through which students can demonstrate their achievement of the learning outcomes; • provide accurate, constructive and timely feedback on student learning; and • support the use of reasoned judgment about the evidence used to determine and report the level of student learning.

41 The Table Host… One person per table is designated to be the “Table Host” She or he remains at same table throughout the process The Table Host : - Facilitates the conversation by focusing on the question - Reminds participants to jot down key connections, ideas, discoveries and deeper questions as they emerge. - Briefly shares key insights from the prior conversation so others can link and build using ideas from their respective tables. - Records ideas for submission at the end of the café process

42 World Café Process You will be invited to join any table, and will engage in several progressive rounds of dialogue for minutes. Record your own ideas and thinking by jotting down words or creating visuals on a placement provided or notes pages. After the first conversation, all of the members of the group, except for the table host, will carry the key ideas, themes, and questions to another table.

43 Conversations 2 & 3 Conversation 2 – the host summarizes the key ideas from the previous conversation, and invites the members of the table to a) do a brief sharing of the essence of their previous conversations and b) build on those conversations. Conversation 3 – repeats the process. The intent in each of the subsequent conversations is to listen carefully and build on each others’ contributions.

Individually, consider what has emerged in your café conversations that has been most meaningful to you. In turn, share those thoughts with the other members of your group.
