1 Automated System for Air Pollution Detection and Control in Vehicles
PRESENTED BY S.Aravindh kumar ( ) N.Syed sirajudeen ( ) P.Vigneshwaran ( ) GUIDED BY Mrs P.Vanitha (Associate professor/ICE)

2 ABSTRACT Every vehicle has its own emission of gases, but the problem occurs when the emission is beyond the standardized values. The primary reason for this breach of emission level being the incomplete combustion of fuel supplied to the engine which is due to the improper maintenance of vehicles. This emission from vehicles cannot be completely avoided, but it definitely can be controlled.

3 LITERATURE SURVEY PAPER YEAR AUTHOR DISADVANTAGE
A Wireless Sensor Network Air Pollution Monitoring System 2010 kavi k. khedo1, rajiv perseedoss2 and avinash No individual vehicle monitoring system. Real Time Wireless Air Pollution Monitoring System 2011 Raja Vara Prasad Y1, Mirza Sami Baig2, Rahul K. Mishra3, P. Rajalakshmi4, U. B. Desai Monitoring of air pollution only.

4 EXISTING SYSTEM Manual pollution identification in vehicles.
The present system is not implemented effectively and many automobiles are running with out pollution check. Not able to monitor the vehicles all time.

5 PROPOSED SYSTEM When the amount of the Carbon monoxide(CO) is reached to a threshold limit 1 our project activate a buzzar alert and indicate Co level abnormal.. The amount of the Carbon monoxide (CO) is reached to the threshold limit 2 it activates the buzzer alert and indicate a Co warning.. When CO reaches Maximum point of threshold limit 3 it cuts off the ignition and vehicle has been locked.. The vehicle information is transmitted to the central server via GSM..

6 PROPOSED SYSTEM CONTINUED…
The central server only have the authentications to activate/deactivate the vehicles

11 MQ7 Co Sensor

12 FEATURES High sensitivity to carbon monoxide Stable and long life
APPLICATION They are used in gas detecting equipment for carbon monoxide(CO) in family of Industry, bike & car etc...

13 LM324

14 Signal conditioning circuit LM324

15 FEATURES This is the IC that the four operational amplifiers are housed in the one package. It is possible to work with the single power supply. Its used as Sensor signal conditioner in our circuit

16 SERIAL DATA INTERFACE MAX 232

17 SERIAL DATA COMMUNICATION

18 FEATURES The MAX232 device is a dual driver/receiver that includes a capacitive voltage generator to supply RS-232 voltage levels from a single 5-V supply. Each receiver converts RS-232 inputs to 5-VTTL/CMOS levels. Its used here to interface GSM and GPS with microcontroller

19 SIM300 GSM MODEM

20 SIM300 GSM MODEM

21 FEATURES Uses the extremely popular SIM300 GSM module
Provide to serial TTL interface to microcontrollers Operating voltage 12vdc

27 CONCLUSION The concept of detecting the level of Pollution and indicating it to the driver is implemented. There will be a huge population, who do not take care of the pollution from their vehicles seriously, which has already resulted in several environmental problems such as Ozone layer depletion and so on. Hence this system will be highly beneficial in curbing this problem
