2. Styles of Resumes: Chronological Resume- recommended
A chronological resume is the most common type of resume.  It lists your work experience in reverse chronological order.  Your most recent work experience is listed first, then the one prior to that and so on.  Sample Chronological Resume
Functional Resume A functional resume organizes your work experience by job function rather than by chronological order. This type of resume emphasizes your skills, abilities and areas of expertise rather than your career history. . You may want to consider a functional resume if you are a new graduate without much professional experience or if you have noticeable gaps in your work history. Combination Resume A combination resume is a hybrid of chronological and functional resumes. Skill clusters with accomplishments are listed first, followed by a work history section in reverse-chronological order.

Write out a rough draft which should be one page.
Write the heading section of your resume which includes name, address, cell, and address.
Write the Education, Experience, and Skills sections. Work experiences should always be listed in reverse chronological order. Additionally internships, field experiences, and volunteer experiences (related to your major) can be listed also.
Remember that resumes are unique to each individual. Chose experiences that will highlight your accomplishments, leadership, and skill sets targeted at your job objective.

Don’t go overboard with fancy fonts, graphics, or a confusing structure. While you may think this makes you stand out, it’s confusing to read for the employer.
