18 International success story from Mikkeli
Roope began his studies in the BScBA program in Mikkeli in Because of his interest in international business, an entrepreneurial spirit and the fact that the program is taught entirely in English, the choice was a no-brainer. During his second year in Mikkeli, Roope started a business with fellow BScBA student Mikael Lauharanta. The idea for the business came originally from a school project. Crucial skills learned from the program’s unique structure and culture and with a little encouragement from the professor, the two friends were able to take the leap and realize their business.   Today the company is a multimillion euro business with over 60 employees and has Fortune 150 clients such as PwC and Nissan.
